Hi, right now everyone is working on some changes so hold on new things are coming. In an effort to kick this place back into action, we're doing round 9. In a few days, we'll be setting up a fills post that hopefully will work directly for archiving and an overflow post. Also we'll be doing a friending meme at tsn_km_gather so be looking out for that. I know some of the other mods have plans of their own which will be coming soon.

Pretty much what it says in the subject line, I'd like a Harvard era fic with a natural or unnatural external crisis. Be it a disaster movie's earthquakes or lava streams (no one said anything about realistic), or a Criminal Mind-ish bad guy walking around campus doing damage and killing people. I just really want a scene in which Mark is running in the other direction from everybody else looking for Eduardo, trying to remember what Eduardo was talking about the last time he saw him and cursing himself for not paying more attention to something that might now tell him where to look and just having waved him away because he was busy. Extra bonus for hurt!Eduardo, because I have a weakness for h/c.

The summer before senior year, Mark's parents force him to get a job as a pool boy. The son of one of his clients, a long-limbed, golden-skinned Brazilian boy, seems to have his eye on him, though Mark can't imagine why...

Poolboy!AU. Preferably scenes centered around the pool (i.e Mark and Eduardo only ever speak/interact/see each other in/around the Saverin pool).

Mark’s not really listening to Mr. Saverin talk about cleaning the pool. Like, really, how hard can it be? You… use the net thingy to scoop up the leaves, right? The only thing he wants to be doing, really, is sitting in front of his laptop. But because he can’t be wasting his summer away (as if, like, really, he’s doing completely productive things!) and he needs to learn responsibility and the value of a dollar and whatever else his parents said that they’ve been saying for the past two years until his dad had the balls to actually set up a job for him and then plop him in front of this person’s house.

The house, it’s… huge. One of those mansions on a hill with big iron gates, and Mark hasn’t been inside, but he’s pretty damn sure there’s a bowling alley or a movie theatre in there. The pool by itself is enormous, with a fancy mosaic tiled bottom and, oh… what is Mr. Saverin saying? Something about the filter.

It can’t be that hard.

Mark pads out to the pool, kicking off his shoes and losing them somewhere under one of those reclining patio lounge chairs. The hot pavement burns his feet so he flicks some water onto it wherever he walks. The net expands to be almost twelve feet long and Mark spends the first sweltering hour of work fishing leaves off the surface. This asshole is only paying him twenty bucks an hour, too. Mark could make three times as much doing some freelance coding. Yeah, he’s just bitter.

What Mark doesn’t know is that Eduardo Saverin is watching from his bedroom window. The pool boy, whom he wasn’t even aware was being hired, is nothing short of hot (pun intended). He’s taken his shirt off, because of the heat, but he’s still sweating, skin shining in the sun, muscles in his back rippling every time he heaves another netful of leaves onto the side of the pool. It looks like this is the first time he’s been out in the sun for a year.

Mark slowly makes his way around the perimeter of the pool, cleaning out the endless layer of leaves. There aren’t even any fucking trees around here, where do they come from?! He’s tired, sweaty, red in the face and he knows he looks like a mess. He just wants to go home. He wipes sweat off his brow with his arm and leans over unsteadily, reaching for a patch of leaves across the pool that he doesn’t feel like walking all the way around to fish out.

“Hello?”

“Oh, fuck!”

Startled and losing his balance, Mark goes toppling right into the chlorine-filled water. Eduardo shuffles over to the side, watching the shadow beneath the water get bigger and bigger until the new pool boy – a curly haired, pale twerp of a kid – surfaces, gasping for breath and spitting water out of his mouth.

“Fuck! What the hell, man?” Pool Boy doggie-paddles over to the ladder to heave himself onto the side. “You – you startled me.” He’s coughing, shaking his curly hair out like a dog, dripping wet from everywhere. Those gym shorts are clinging to him now.

“I can see that,” Eduardo chuckles, biting his lip to keep himself from giggling. “You fell in.”

“I can see that,” Mark deapdans, wringing our his soaked curls. He’s this close to quitting – quitting on the first day, but then his mother would probably force him into something equally horrible like waiting tables or working behind some department store register.

“You’re working on the pool.”

“Oh, good, you’re not blind.”

Eduardo raises an eyebrow, unamused, as Mark climbs up to his feet. Mark bites his lip and looks away, trying not to look at the tan, Brazillian beauty in front of him. He vaguely wonders what the suit’s for. “Uh. I’m Mark. I’m, uh… the pool boy.”

Eduardo crosses his arms over his chest, his mouth set in a thin, smirking line. “I’m Eduardo.”

Edi knows she’s pretty.

Partially because her father insists that she’ll “only get by on her pretty face” because “women are rarely taken seriously in business”, mostly because the Winklevoss twins and that Divya kid make it a point to skeezily say “hey beautiful” whenever she passes them on the way to microeconomics.

The thing is that Edi doesn’t think Mark knows she’s pretty, which is a problem, given her embarrassing crush on him.

“You’re way too good for him, E,” Alice muses from over her biology textbook while Edi lounges on the couch across the room. “He’s a hermit.”

“Hey,” mumbles Edi gruffly. “He’s my best friend.”

Alice shrugs to convey hey, I’m just saying. Christy comes into the room at that moment, long, dark hair tossed over one shoulder.

“Are you pining over Zuckerberg again? I totally gave his suitemate the best blowie of his life last night,” she says proudly. Edi recoils and hopes that she means Dustin and not Chris, not that the image of Christy going down on Dustin is much less disturbing than her trying to turn Chris straight.

“Anyway, you could hook him if you dressed less like a lawyer and more like, you know, an actual college student.”

Edi glances down at her outfit that’s slightly rumpled from her position on the couch: a blazer over a grey button-up, tucked into a black pencil skirt. Other than the crinkles, she thinks she looks fine, but Christy’s clearly got a problem with the outfit. She grabs Edi’s hand and yanks her off of the couch and into the back bedroom of the suite, which is actually Alice’s. Christy rifles through the closet and shoves a dark red dress with a scandalously low neckline into Edi’s hands and commands her to put it on while she fixes her hair. Christy loosens the tight bun at the back of Edi’s head and sends a cascade of brown waves tumbling down Edi’s now-bare shoulders that peek out of the dress.

“Oh-kay, hottie,” Alice approves when Edi steps back into the living room, hugging her arms around herself cautiously.

“You really think he’ll like it?” she mumbles, gnawing at her lower lip. Really, she should be the one who knows what Mark likes or doesn’t like, but he’s got this strange tendency to never talk about girls ever, as opposed to Dustin, who doesn’t shut the hell up about them. She could specifically outline Dustin’s type (short, Asian, nice rack, at least pretends to like video games), but she’s known Mark for a year and a half and she’s not once seen him even communicate with a girl other than herself.

Christy and Alice practically shove Edi out without so much as a light sweater to fight the slight chill that signifies the coming of autumn. Edi’s just glad that the walk from Eliot to Kirkland is short and that she remembered to grab the spare keycard Mark gave her, so she’s stepping into the Hughes-Moskovitz-Zuckerberg suite in no time.

There’s hardly even a beat before Dustin calls, “Hey E—holy shit, Eduarda Saverin, when did you become a goddess?”

Chris rolls his eyes from the other side of the couch, glancing up from the round of Halo that he’s so far ahead of Dustin in that it doesn’t even matter that he’s stopped paying attention. “Shut up, Dustin. You look beautiful, Edi. Mark’s in his room if you’re looking for him.”

There’s a glint in Chris’s eye that tells Edi he knows exactly why she’s dressed differently and she’s glad that it’s the most reasonable of the suitemates that is giving her the look.

Remember a while back when there were all those "Eduardo gets off on being called mean names"-type prompts?

Can we get one where Eduardo gets off on being called, like, beautiful or pretty or something?

Like, Mark tells him that he's pretty one day just offhandedly because it's TRUE and it's not like Mark of all people to beat around the bush or deny what's clear as day. Instead of accepting it and moving on like Mark expects him to, though, Eduardo sort of... preens.

IDK that's not really plot at all but you guys get it, right? Maybe Mark learns that he can make Eduardo focus ALL of his attention on him just by petting his neck and telling him he's 'so pretty, Wardo, god.' Or Dustin and Chris are shocked to walk in on Mark-the-supposed-robot showering Wardo with this nonsensical litany of 'pretty, pretty, god, you love it, don't you, god, you're so pretty,' and Wardo clearly not being able to get enough of it.

If I Lay Here (Would You Lie Here With Me?)

Andrew admits that the first time it happens, it’s his own fault. He’s had a couple of beers and feels happily buzzed. The shooting went amazing that day. Jesse was so good, Andrew can’t even begin to put it in words. He tries to tell this to Jesse, but Jesse goes all “no, no, no, Sorkin’s dialogue would make anyone seem amazing”. And so Andrew, who has been sitting on the sofa, stands up, grabs Jesse’s wrist and drags him back to the sofa, Jesse falling easily into Andrew’s lap.

“Andrew?” Jesse asks, his eyes huge.

“Listen to me, Jesse Eisenberg,” Andrew starts, almost whispering on Jesse’s ear. “You were fantastic. Sorkin might be a genius but that scene could’ve gone so wrong if the right wasn’t playing the part.”

And Jesse, Jesse feels so warm and cozy in Andrew’s arms that Andrew nearly misses it when Jesse says, “Okay.”

The second time it happens, it’s sort of an accident but neither of them moves away so it also kind of isn’t. An accident, that is.

They’re at a small party Rooney invited them to. Andrew isn’t drinking because he has a big scene coming up in two days and he can barely eat from how nervous he is so drinking is completely out of the question. Jesse is sober out of sheer solidarity. So they’re there, standing awkwardly next to each other, Andrew’s hand on the small of Jesse’s back, and Jesse almost imperceptibly leaning into the touch. It’s nothing they don’t do often.

Until someone pushes Jesse by accident, making Jesse lose his balance. Andrew, in an attempt to keep Jesse on his feet, moves back but he, too, stumbles backwards. They end up in a awkward position on the floor, Jesse sitting on Andrew’s lap.

Andrew thinks about moving. About standing up again.

But Jesse asks, “Are you okay?”

Andrew never wants to stand up again. Never. He means it.

“Andrew?”

“I’m fine. You?”

Laughing, Jesse replies sarcastically, “Oh, I’m so comfortable.”

It shouldn’t be an invitation. In fact, it isn’t an invitation. Yet Andrew wraps his arms around Jesse, holds him tight.

“Of course you are!”

And if they don’t move for the next half hour, no one says anything.

After that night, it becomes a thing. Whenever they’re alone, Jesse will simply find his way on Andrew’s lap. And Andrew feels like his heart might explode in his chest from how big it’s getting. He feels like he might die because life has never been so sweet.

Until the night it happens when Justin is around.

Jesse stands up to get more pretzels, and when he comes back with a full bowl, Andrew drags him onto his lap.

No one says anything. Mostly because they’re used to it. Except for Justin, who lets out this loud laugh.

“Oh, man, you two should just get it on already,” he comments, pointing in Jesse and Andrew’s direction.

The first thing Andrew notices is Jesse freezing in his arms.

The second thing is how quiet everyone’s gone.

“Come on, it’s not like it’s some big secret you have the hots for each other.”

But no one besides Justin is speaking.

Then Jesse is standing up and turning to face Andrew.

“You like me?” he asks in a low voice.

Andrew is frozen to his seat. He can’t move or speak.

“I need the bathroom,” Jesse announces.

Soon, Andrew, too, is standing up to follow Jesse out of the room.

He vaguely hears Justing saying, “Oh, shit, he didn’t know, did he?”

I kind of really want fic where the bottom has a really big dick. Eduardo is Emily/Amanda- and boy is out for REVENGE. Mark is Nolan Ross out to be the most socially awkward genius (possibly sociopathic) bisexual in the land. Featuring: Sean Parker as Tyler AKA that guy Mark is totally willing to have creepy video-recorded REVENGE sex with! Cristy as Dan (c'mon you know he's got to be unhinged under all of that BORING- at least I hope so). Dustin as Jack (maybe erase the whole Nolan reallllly wanting Jack and Emily/Amanda to bone thing? mark and eduardo used to be friends when they were little, attending panthers football games together, and eduardo would try and teach mark football terms which was pretty useless. then they grew up and mark's family moved somewhere else for his dad's job. years later when eduardo is second string qb (or even the star qb, actually), mark's dad accepts the job to coach the panthers and his family moves back. and then eduardo is omggggg i have ~feelings~ for mark what do i doooo. /teenage angst, etc.
