just an update about delicious because i know we're holding out on you guys and it's not fair.

eta second; WE WILL BE MOVING THE DELCIOUS ACCOUNT. i know this might seem like the worst to all of you right now, especially if you have things bookmarked yourselves, but it's the only thing we can do without going back and changing url's or by making more work for ourselves. this way, everything is still bookmarked and we can tag all of the new stuff without repeating ourselves.

of course, there will be a transition period. the new delicious is TSNkinkmemeArchive. as you can see, everything is already moved over and we're in the process of tagging things right now.

the reason we've had so much trouble as of late is because livejournal changed the URL's used to access everything and it's messed with the delicious add-on which means that we can't tell what's been tagged and what hasn't. we're in the process of deciding what to do about this but EVERYTHING will be tagged within the next two weeks. i have an exam on monday and then i break up for the summer so i promise, i will be around to make sure everything is tagged and this comm is running as smoothly as possible. thank you all for taking this so well because i know it's frustrating and i know it's not the best thing when your mod fails you!

i hope you all bear with us just a little bit longer and we'll have the delicious back on track :D

eta; we're looking for volunteers once more for helping out with the archive. we need people to help out with part five! if you'd like to join the team, leave a comment or PM my journal. thank you!

I'd like to know what's confusing about the delicious archiving. As one of the people tagging the meme I'm always grateful for feedback.

Thank you, and how do I track the thread? As you can tell, I am completely illiterate when it comes to this stuff, so it's probably not your system that is confusing. It's me. The way I've been doing it is looking through the thread regularly to see if there is a new FILL anywhere that I haven't seen before. It's not easy in such a busy thread. I'm probably just not doing things right though.

there's a little symbol that looks like a blue pin in the subject bar - the same bar as the prompt subject, the date etc. click that and it will let you track the thread.

if it's the fills that are confusing then i apologise. if you want to check new fills there's the WIP spreadsheet. i guess for anything else, there really isn't a clear system right now because i've not been updating the delicious account with new fills due to trying to tag everything.

however, if you click the '_filled' tag on the delicious account, all the NEW prompts that have had recent fills will show up. just not lately.

to make it easier, we could have a post/twitter account which gives out alerts to all new fills? - i could update it everytime someone posts a new fill, as i get alerts in my email inbox?

As someone who found the inceptionwips twitter really useful, I think a WIP twitter would be a great idea, if you have time to run it! :)

i see you have the link already. when you click through it on your browser, it should change itself because eljay automatically does.

i'd also like to know what's confusing about delicious. it helps to know what people like/don't like/find confusing so that we can find a way to make it better/easier for people to browse through!

When I click the link, I still end up on the old LJ thread. Are you saying it is supposed to automatically direct me to the Kiss by the book-thread on delicious?

i thought thats what you were asking for - the link to the LJ thread? it won't change on LJ. and it shouldn't change on your personal delicious. the only thing we were letting people know was that the links on delicious would all change - that we would have a new delicious. some people bookmark specific delicious links instead of the actual thread on LJ. that's all we were saying.

we weren't saying any of the LJ threads/links would change!
